Dr. Anna Mavrogianni
Lecturer in Sustainable Building and Urban Design
Dr. Anna Mavrogianni is a Lecturer in Sustainable Building and Urban Design at the UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering (IEDE). She is an expert in indoor environmental quality, building energy retrofit and climate change adaptation of the built environment sector, with a focus on overheating and heatwave vulnerability at the building and urban scale. Anna is currently a Co-Investigator in the ESPRC-funded ‘Airport Capacity Consequences Leveraging Aviation Integrated Modelling’ (ACCLAIM) project. She has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles to date and has contributed to several book chapters, reports and evaluations. She was a contributing author in the ‘Investigation into Overheating in Buildings’ report for DCLG, the ‘Defining Overheating in Buildings’ detailed evidence review for the Zero Carbon Hub and the Government’s upcoming 2017 CCRA report. She is a Board Member of the International Building Performance Simulation Association-England (IBPSA-England), a Member of the UK Indoor Environments Group (UKIEG) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
